Welcome to Gamble Township

Gamble Township is located in north central Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.  Gamble Township was formed in 1875 from parts of adjacent Lewis and Cascade Townships.  Still mostly rural, primary industries have been salt mining and lumbering.  Today, most of Gamble township is forests, dairy farms and orchards, but is experiencing a great deal of growth due to Marcellus Shale mining activities.

Gamble Township is also home to 389 acre Rose Valley Lake and Tiadaghton State Forest, and is next to Lewis Township, location of Pine Creek Gorge, both premier boating, hiking and backpacking venues.
